Where do you meet with students?

Due to COVID-19, sessions are exclusively virtual.​

How often and how long are sessions?

Sessions are usually 60 or 90 minutes, once or twice a week. Though meeting more or less frequently is flexible.

How many weeks or months do you typically work with students?

That completely depends on the student and his or her objectives and goals. Short--term test prep may require only a few sessions, whereas longer--term test prep, academic advisement, college counseling and mentorship can last six to twelve months or more.

What will a student need to bring to a session?

For standardized test prep, please bring a charged laptop or iPad, calculator, notebook, and pencil. For nearly everything else, no calculators required!

Do you tutor both the ACT and SAT, and do you teach all sections of both tests?

Yes and yes!

Which standardized test do you recommend — the ACT or SAT?

That also depends on the student, and part of the first session or two often involves determining which is the better fit.

What if I already have a math tutor? Would you be willing to teach english only, or vice versa?

Yes, absolutely.

What is your cancelation policy?

Unlimited cancelations with 24--hour notice. First last--minute cancelation forgiven at no charge. Second charged at 50% of rate. Third or more charged at 100% of rate.
